CONDITIONS

1- Audiovisual producers working in different Indigenous languages, whose subject matter falls into the category of suitable themes, will be entitled to take part. Subtitles should be in English, although exceptions will be made for audio or subtitles in Spanish. Please contact for details.

2- Independent Indigenous productions will be entitled to take part as associate productions, regardless of the year they were made.

3- Only a director or producer may enter his or her work in the festival.
Filmmakers wishing to participate in the festival must initially enrol their productions for the Showcase. These will then be subject to selection and the successful entries will be contacted.

4- The deadline for entries is 31st August 2008, 3 p.m., Greenwich Meridian time.

5- The selection panel will be appointed by the Directors of Native Spirit in London and will include accomplished individuals in the fields of literature, music, art and audiovisual production.

6- Unless previously agreed, each production should be presented as two copies of high-quality format (DVD preference), together with the entry form, and a list of credits. Additional information such as review or promotional material and website are also welcome. The participants will be responsible for payment of the dispatch, which should be marked "Cultural material with no commercial value" and sent to:

7-Native Spirit will organise the event. Participation in the festival entails acceptance of the stipulation that the material is to remain in the hands of Native Spirit for non-profit broadcasting, the creation of an audiovisual library for educational purposes, and the use of images on TV, in the press and on the Web to publicise the festival and any tours and events used to publicise Native Spirit , promote its objectives and beneficiaries. Entering productions for the festival will signify acceptance of these terms.

8- Native Spirit pledges that, following the completion of the selection process for the 2008 festival; the information will be posted on the Internet. All participants may attend the festival and any subsequent events: unless otherwise stated, travel and accommodation arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the individual and not of Native Spirit Festival. Filmmakers able to provide lectures or workshops should provide a proposal with their submission.

9 - Any commercial undertaking relating to the productions will be determined by the owners of the work. Our intention is merely to act as a bridge between the two worlds.
